Roseau, Dominica

Two years ago when we were docked at Roseau we couldn't leave the port area because the island was locked down to try to keep Covid infections out. This is one of the best islands for nature lovers and trekkers. Several years ago we toured waterfalls and other sites here and it was looking to be a very rainy day so we just stayed in town and found a nice place by the water for a break. In 1979 Hurricane David caused extensive damage on the island. Under a tree in the botanical gardens is a bus that was crushed during the storm. No one was in it at the time.
